Job Summary:
The Therapy/Rehabilitation Physical Therapist (PT) in an outpatient setting provides specialized care to neuro/ortho and medically complex patients. The PT is responsible for delivering therapeutic interventions, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. This role requires at least one year of experience, a valid Alaska PT license, and BLS certification, with a focus on delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced outpatient hospital environment.

The Therapy/Rehabilitation Physical Therapist (PT) in an outpatient setting provides specialized care to neuro/ortho and medically complex patients. The PT is responsible for delivering therapeutic interventions, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. This role requires at least one year of experience, a valid Alaska PT license, and BLS certification, with a focus on delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced outpatient hospital environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate neuro/orthopedic and medically complex patients to develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Provide therapeutic interventions and rehabilitation services in an outpatient setting.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.
- Document patient progress and treatment plans accurately using the Epic electronic medical record system.
- Adhere to facility protocols and standards, including safety and infection control measures.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
- Maintain professional licensure and certifications required for practice.
- Current Alaska Physical Therapist license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in physical therapy, preferably in outpatient or related settings.
- Ability to use Epic electronic medical record system for documentation.
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills.
- Experience working with neuro/orthopedic and medically complex patients.
- Familiarity with Magnet facility standards and Level II trauma protocols.
- No on-call requirements.
- Some Saturday shifts required.
- Candidate permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility; locals not accepted.
- Time off requests approved individually upon offer and must be included in initial submittal.
- Facility is a Magnet hospital and a Level II Trauma center with a focus on high-quality care.
- Work schedule options include 4 days of 10-hour shifts or 5 days of 8-hour shifts during daytime hours.
- No weekend shifts except for some Saturdays as required.
- Block scheduling accommodations are not available.
