Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill and surgical pediatric patients in a 26-bed PICU
• Manage patient assignments at a 1:1 or 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in patient condition in a high-acuity pediatric critical care environment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Fulfill weekend (every other weekend) and holiday requirements as scheduled
• Complete unit-specific orientation prior to independent practice

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State (NYS) Registered Nurse license
• Minimum 2 years of PICU or pediatric critical care nursing experience
• CVICU experience required
• Current BLS and PALS certifications

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for critically ill or post-surgical pediatric populations
• Familiarity with high-acuity pediatric critical care protocols and equipment
