Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to perform progressive machining on a diversified line of close tolerance work requiring a varying degree of skill and machining techniques. Diagnose and rectify tooling problems and machine malfunctions. Must be able to perform tool changes and own set-ups. Ability to edit programs is a plus. Work from drawings, specifications and job layouts. Ability to set up, adjust and operate a variety of manual lathes and mills independently is a plus. Ability to use standard machines to verify parts are to spec at start of and within a run. Ability to work independently and follow written and verbal instruction. Must be willing and able to help train new employees.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and other progressive machining on a diversified line of close tolerance work requiring a varying degree of skill and machining techniques.
• Work from blueprints, specifications, and job layouts to produce close-tolerance components
• Diagnose and rectify tooling problems and machine malfunctions
• Perform quality checks using a variety of precision measuring instruments
• Ability to edit programs is a plus.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Experience editing CNC programs and setting up and operating CNC lathes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and job layouts
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, gauges, calipers, etc.)
• Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
• Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting as required

The base salary range for this position is $32, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
