We’re Looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will perform professional and restorative nursing services including resident assessments, recording of vital signs, administering medications and treatments. Position Summary Provides hands-on resident care, proper and timely administration of medications and treatments, accurate verbal and written reports, and rapid response to any/all emergency situations. Essential Functions Keeps timely documentation of written and verbal reports to ensure quality care. Interacts with the resident’s physician, pharmacist, and medical personnel as needed. Follows the Resident Care Plan; assists residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, hygiene, and mobility. Assists with in-service and on-the-job training and mentoring of team members. Participates in and attends all required in-service training and education programs as scheduled. Physical Demands and Work Environment The position is very active and requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and climbing. Lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs may be required, with the ability to push up to 250 lbs. The individual must use proper body mechanics. Long hours and frequent night and weekend work may be expected. Travel No travel is expected, though occasional travel may be required for training, continuing education opportunities, emergency situations, and other company functions. Education and Experience Requirements Current state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in good standing. CPR, AED, and First Aid certification. High school diploma or GED. Four-year college or university degree desired. 1-2 years of experience in a similar healthcare position preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently. Ability to meet or exceed attendance and punctuality standards. Ability to use Electronic Records and various software and office equipment. Ability to understand and follow directions as given.
