Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive nursing care within the Emergency Department, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and quality outcomes. Collaborates with the healthcare team to deliver timely, effective emergency medical interventions and patient education.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate total nursing care for emergency patients, prioritizing needs and managing clinical interventions.
• Participate in patient and family teaching to promote understanding and compliance with care plans.
• Work cooperatively with ancillary staff and other healthcare team members to maintain high standards of professional nursing practice.
• Recognize and respect patient rights, providing privacy and ensuring mutual goal setting between patients and staff.
• Adhere to ethical, legal, and regulatory standards set by the ANA, state, and federal agencies, maintaining competence and accountability.
• Document all patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner using the designated electronic medical record system.

Qualifications:

• Valid Michigan RN license.
• At least 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience required; ENPC or PALS certification acceptable as an alternative.
• Current ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, BLS (AHA), and PCBLS certifications required.
• Demonstrated ability to handle high-pressure situations and multi-task efficiently.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
