Position Overview:

The Cost Accountant ensures the integrity of cost accounting information by planning studding and collecting manufacturing data to determine activity such as raw material purchases inventory and labor.

Ideal Candidate:

• Legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring Sponsorship
• Must be available to work on-site daily in Hobart Indiana
• A collaborative team player who thrives in a high-volume fast-paced dynamic environment.
• Strong attention to detail problem-solving and strong analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and reporting

Salary Range : $88000-$92000K

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Improve manufacturing costs and pricing processes procedures and standards
• Analyze and develop cost standards for materials and labor
• Analyze manufacturing wastes and identify ways to reduce inventory and proactively communicate the findings to Management
• Analyze inventory valuations & revenue recognition in accordance with GAAP and IFRS
• Support the Revit transition and coordinates interaction between finance and manufacturing
• Scrutinize manufacturing cost variances & optimize profitability
• Develops and maintains timely and accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP
• Assists with monthly closing process; posting journal entries and conducting reconciliations
• Review monthly results and implement monthly variance reporting
• Investigate propose and spear head process improvements relating to manufacturing expenses
• Participate and provide a support in internal / external auditing and o ther activities as requested

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience
• 3-5 years of Cost Accounting experience in a public or private company

Knowledge Skills and Abilities Requirements:

• Knowledge of ERP system SAP for manufacutring / accounting software and programs
• In-depth knowledge of SAP Finance/Controlling (FI/CO) modules including;MM EWM SD PS MM PP etc.
• Highly detail-oriented and organized
• Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines
• Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees
• Strong communication analytical and problem-solving skills
