Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week, fully in-office
Assignment Duration: Approximately mid-December through April 15
Compensation: $22.50/hour

About the Opportunity

We're seeking an Administrative Assistant for a temporary, full-time opportunity with an accounting firm in the Augusta area. This position will provide administrative and front-office support during the firm's busy tax season, beginning around mid-December and continuing through April 15.

The Administrative Assistant will work closely with staff and clients and will help keep day-to-day office operations organized and running smoothly. This is a 40-hour-per-week, fully in-office position and would be a great fit for someone who is organized, dependable, comfortable working in a busy office environment, and enjoys interacting with clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet clients and provide professional front-office and telephone support
• Scan, copy, file, and organize client documents and correspondence
• Assist with processing and organizing tax returns and other client materials
• Prepare correspondence, perform data entry, and maintain electronic and physical files
• Assist with incoming/outgoing mail and other general administrative tasks
• Provide additional administrative support to staff during the busy tax season

Requirements & Qualifications

• Prior administrative or professional office experience
• Strong computer proficiency and comfort working across multiple software programs
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Experience with tax or accounting software is ideal, but not required for someone who is comfortable learning new systems quickly
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Professional communication skills and a friendly, client-focused demeanor
• Dependable, self-directed, and comfortable working 100% in-office
