About the Role

• Senior Front Office Java Developer role at Mizuho in a NYC Hybrid setting. Responsible for designing and developing a stock loan platform for equity business. Works with Spring, container technology, caching, IBM MQ, GraphQL, Hazelcast, cloud services, and AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop a stock loan platform for equity business
• Senior Java development using Spring framework and container technology
• Implement caching solutions and work with IBM MQ
• Develop and consume GraphQL and REST APIs
• Utilize Hazelcast for distributed caching
• Leverage cloud infrastructure
• Apply AI tools (Copilot, Claude) to generate unit tests and optimize token usage

Required Qualifications

• Senior Java development experience
• Proficiency with Spring framework
• Container technology expertise
• Caching experience (user perspective)
• IBM MQ knowledge
• Equities domain experience
• Stock loan experience preferred
• GraphQL experience (user or developer)
• REST API experience
• Hazelcast experience (user perspective)

• Strong technical experience in front office environment
• AI experience with token optimization
• Ability to generate unit tests from AI
