Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a NICU and Special Care Nursery (SCN) setting with established patient ratios (1:2 NICU; 1:3–4 SCN)
• Monitor and manage critically ill neonatal patients utilizing advanced equipment including jet ventilators, oscillators, ECMO, UAB lines, and Criticool body cooling systems
• Document all patient care activities accurately using the EPIC charting system
• Float to Newborn Nursery (NBN), SCN, Pediatrics, and PICU as needed for appropriate assignment within skillset
• Work every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) and every other applicable holiday, with availability for 2 of 3 major holidays
• Adhere to agreed-upon schedule; make up any missed shifts within the same pay period

Required Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license or valid Compact license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of current Level III NICU experience required (Level IV facility; Level III experience accepted)
• BLS and NRP certifications required at time of submission
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records system
• Willingness and ability to float within skillset as directed by unit needs

Preferred Experience / Skills

• PALS certification preferred
• Experience with jet ventilators, oscillators, ECMO, UAB lines, Criticool body cooling, and transport recipient care
