This is a great opportunity to work as part of a small, committed group of professionals that puts an emphasis on collaboration and teamwork.$20,000 sign-on bonus (new MGH hires)This position works in the Nuclear Medicine departments at the facilities in Augusta and Waterville, as well as in the PET department at the Harold Alfond Center for Cancer Care. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperationOrders, prepares, administers, stores and disposes of radiopharmaceuticals and or medications according to established protocols and applicable regulations/standards. Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriatePrepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessaryPositions patient and performs imaging procedure(s). Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results. Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure. Enters, transmits and reports scan resultsThe Ideal candidate will have:Current State of Maine License for Radiological Technology/Nuclear Medicine requiredCertified as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) OR by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) requiredBasic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare ProviderProficiency in a suite of Microsoft Office applications$38.35 - $67.11The hourly pay range shown represents the base pay range for this position. Individual pay is determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, and market considerations. In addition to base pay, eligible team members may earn additional compensation through shift, weekend, holiday, on-call, and other applicable differentials.
