Job Title: Emergency Department Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: At least one year of RN experience License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC Must-Have: - Level I and/or Level II Trauma Center experience required - General Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric patients - EPIC experience preferred Description: We are seeking experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurses to work three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. This role supports a combined adult and pediatric Emergency Department at a Level I/Level II Trauma Center. The department sees approximately 265 patients daily and includes 53 rooms. Nurses will care for patients of all ages, including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, and adults. Schedule requirements include working every other weekend and weekend shifts based on departmental needs. Required skills and competencies include adult and pediatric emergency care, triage, and dysrhythmia management. Additional skills include blood product administration, central line care, and IV management. Experience with emergency medications, procedural sedation monitoring, and triage is essential. Candidates should have previous charge experience, preferably in a teaching hospital, LTAC, or community hospital setting. Familiarity with a variety of patient conditions, including acute psychosis, respiratory infections, and traumatic injuries, is important. Interdisciplinary support includes interpretation services, IV teams, and respiratory services. Documentation will be managed through EPIC. Applicants should be prepared for a fast-paced environment and be able to manage multiple patient needs.
