Early Access: Your benefits start after just 30 days of employment As an Ambassador for Airgas , the Service & Delivery Professional takes pride in the safe and reliable delivery of compressed gas cylinders to our local and regional business partners. Operating from an Airgas branch or plant location using a company-provided straight or box truck, you will manage the flow of cylinders while building lasting relationships with the customers you visit. As a Service & Delivery Professional at Airgas, you will be part of a supportive professional team that encourages your personal growth and internal mobility , while ensuring you have the work/life balance you need to thrive. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Cylinder Handling : Safely load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases to both external and internal customer locations. Record Keeping: Accurately record deliveries and pick-ups on a load manifest, obtaining customer signatures for receipt. Collect empty, rejected, or unsold cylinders and return them to a plant or branch for refilling. Safety and Compliance : Adhere to all Airgas safety standards (SAFECOR) and government regulations, including those from DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, and OSHA. Warehouse Support: Provide assistance in the warehouse or on the dock as needed. Required Qualifications Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License. Valid Medical Examiner's Card. Hazmat Endorsement (or willing to obtain). Must have one (1) year of prior Class A or B professional driving experience within the last five (5) years and a clean driving record to include no more than two (2) convictions, OR two (2) at-fault accidents in the last three years; OR no more than a combination of one (1) conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last three years. In lieu of experience, may consider accepting a diploma from an accredited driving school. Must be at least 21 years or older Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets. Ability to routinely lift 25 - 75 lbs., and occasionally lift 76 to greater than 125 pounds with the aid of material handling equipment. Must be able to drive hazardous cargo for up to 8 hours; frequent bending is also required. Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.
