Project Procurement Manager – Renewables US Location: Houston Job Summary As a senior individual contributor within the U.S. Procurement organization, you will support utility‑scale solar PV, BESS, and wind projects. The role is project‑focused and execution‑driven, leading complex sourcing, tendering, and commercial negotiations across the full project lifecycle. You will partner closely with Engineering, Project Management, Business Development, Finance, Legal, and external suppliers to deliver competitive, compliant, and risk‑balanced procurement outcomes. This role does not include people management and is designed for an experienced procurement professional with strong capital project and EPC contracting experience in the U.S. renewable energy market. Key Responsibilities Lead procurement activities from RFP to contract execution for solar (PV), BESS, and wind projects in the U.S. Define and implement procurement strategy for projects in collaboration with the Global EPC Lead and the Category Manager for main equipment. Lead complex commercial negotiations with EPC, BOP, HV, and major equipment suppliers, balancing cost, schedule, scope, performance guarantees, and risk allocation. Support contract execution through change management, claims support, and close‑out. Develop and maintain strategic relationships with EPC, BOP, HV contractors in relevant markets and geography. Provide commercial and procurement input during early‑stage project development, including CAPEX and OPEX estimates, sourcing assumptions, contract structures, and risk considerations for Business Development and M&A activities. Partner with cross‑functional teams (Engineering, Project Management, Construction, Finance, Legal, Operations) to ensure procurement, commercial, and performance decisions support successful project delivery. Monitor fleet‑wide data quality and performance trends, identify data gaps or flat‑lined signals, coordinate with site instrumentation teams to resolve issues, and support root‑cause analysis using historical PI data. Prepare and distribute recurring operational and performance reports for leadership, highlighting generation, availability, efficiency, and reliability metrics to support decision‑making. Monitor supplier markets, pricing trends, lead times, and supply chain risks, and contribute to continuous improvement of procurement processes, reporting tools, and commercial standards based on lessons learned. Qualifications and Skills Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Construction Management, or a related discipline. 7+ years of experience supporting capital projects in renewable energy, EPC, utility, IPP, or infrastructure environments. Demonstrated experience supporting utility‑scale solar PV, BESS, and/or wind projects in the U.S., including leading complex commercial negotiations with EPC, BOP, and HV contractors, and major equipment suppliers. Proven ability to independently manage multiple projects and workstreams across cross‑functional teams, with a strong understanding of CAPEX and OPEX drivers, total cost of ownership, and risk allocation. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence across Engineering, Operations, Project Management, Finance, Legal, and site‑level teams.
