Key Responsibilities:

• Act as patient advocate, verifying patient identity, consent, and readiness
• Perform detailed preoperative assessments and participate actively in timeout procedures
• Prepare OR suites, anticipate surgical team needs, and maintain sterile fields
• Oversee intraoperative care, document all events clearly and manage surgical counts
• Monitor patient status and collaborate closely with anesthesia providers
• Ensure post-op patient transition, providing precise hand-off to PACU or other units
• Maintain and manage supplies, equipment, and inventory
• Respond swiftly to emergencies, including trauma and code situations

Qualifications & Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited ADN or BSN program (BSN preferred)
• Current, unrestricted RN license (compact license accepted)
• BLS certification required; ACLS required (within 6 months if not held); PALS and CNOR preferred
• At least 1-2 years of circulating OR nursing experience preferred
• Comfort with rural/critical access hospital settings a plus
• Proficient in electronic health records; detail-oriented and adaptable
