Maintenance Technician - Senior Living Community (Full-Time)

Allegria Village is hiring a Full-Time Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities team in Dearborn.

What You'll Do
  • Complete maintenance service requests and work orders promptly
  • Perform general repairs including:
    • Plumbing
    • Basic electrical work
    • Drywall and flooring repairs
    • Appliance troubleshooting
    • Painting and unit turns/refurbishing
  • Assist with HVAC maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Support building systems including pumps, motors, generators, and water systems
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and facilities
  • Maintain tools, supplies, and inventory
  • Follow OSHA and safety procedures including PPE and Lockout/Tagout
  • Deliver friendly, professional service to residents and staff
  • Participate in on-call rotation and team projects
What We're Looking For
  • At least 1 year of maintenance experience
    • Apartment maintenance
    • Facilities maintenance
    • Building maintenance
    • Property maintenance
  • Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs independently
  • Reliable, organized, and safety-focused
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
Preferred Experience
  • HVAC certification or hands-on HVAC experience
  • Experience in:
    • Senior living communities
    • Apartment communities
    • Residential or commercial facilities
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in an active environment
Additional Information
  • Participation in an on-call rotation is required
  • Employment contingent upon background check
