Assist Carrier Representatives with dispatching drivers. Keep in constant contact with carriers/drivers to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries. Update the TMS timely and accurately. Company-wide communication relies on information from Track & Trace. Maintain accurate records and statuses that align with best practices. Communicate between departments and escape issues when problems arise. First line of defense to proactively identify and address issues. Ensure drivers are on the satellite tracking system. Assist in handling driver issues at shippers and receivers. This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Physical Demands This is largely a sedentary role, requiring the use of typical office equipment such as a computer, laptop, and cell phone. Most work is completed in a corporate office environment. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, starting as early as 7:00 a.m. and working as late as 6:00 p.m. for 1st shift, 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. for 2nd shift, and 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. for 3rd shift, with weekends being covered Friday through Monday. All shifts include a one-hour unpaid lunch. Travel This position requires no travel.
