Sous Chef Kitchen Manager

Pay Range (non-exempt) Annual: $67,009.80 – $87,001.20 (est. 50 hrs/week).Hourly: $23.43 – $30.42. Benefits Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off. Monthly and annual performance bonuses. Job Summary The Sous Chef assists in leading a culinary team to manage daily restaurant culinary and food service operations, ensuring high operating standards. Job Responsibilities Lead a high-volume, scratch kitchen culinary team, directing food prep and execution of menu items, procedures, and recipes. Ensure guest satisfaction with memorable culinary experiences. Develop, mentor, and inspire the culinary team. Promote a fun, positive, family‑style work environment. Assist with scheduling, interviewing, and hiring. Provide feedback and recognition to staff. Maintain product quality standards through regular line checks. Engage in prep and line cooking activities as needed during shifts. Follow state safety and sanitation guidelines. Contribute to building sales and maximizing financial success. Assist with cost control and food inventories as directed by the Executive Chef. Job Requirements 2+ years of culinary or restaurant experience. Experience in inventory, cost‑of‑goods control, and overall financials. Hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment. Experience mentoring and training hourly team members. Ability to stand and walk for 8–10 hours per shift. Ability to reach, bend, balance, and transport objects up to 30 lbs. repeatedly; may need to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally. Proficiency with kitchen equipment (wok, mixer, slicer, buffalo chopper) and knife use. Comfortable working at warm to very warm temperatures. Preferences Bilingual in English and Spanish. Experience in casual or upscale dining. Experience in a restaurant chain or franchise with established processes. #J-18808-Ljbffr
