Recovery Specialist

We are hiring a Recovery Specialist to support recovery coaching, assist with programming and volunteer coordination, and collaborate with staff and community partners. Responsibilities Facilitate weekly parenting and/or recovery groups, check in with participants and provide one-on-one support when needed, coordinate, schedule and conduct intakes for these individual sessions. Ensure each member has proper consent, comprehensive intake, BARC-10 and quality of documented and securely retained. Understand and apply 42 CFR Part II to recovery community practice setting. Coordinate weekly mutual aid meetings ensuring adequate participation and facilitator communication. Update social media platforms in accordance with daily schedule and special events. Responsible for providing community outreach that will encourage new participants in advance of ongoing meetings and recovery programming as particular meeting format deems appropriate. Keep current and accurate data, including but not limited to documentation pertaining to program participation, new members, center activities, special events and peer support services. Perform other related duties/projects as assigned. Coordinate and schedule volunteers with at least one volunteer on site at all times during working hours. Assist in developing volunteer corps program. Qualifications

CRSW.

High School Diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. At least three years’ experience in the field or an equivalent of higher education in the fields of social work, psychology, human services, or sociology. Good interpersonal skills, non-judgmental attitude. Professional appearance and conduct. Personal and driving background checks. Well-written and spoken. Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic knowledge of network and computer systems. Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Knowledge of Organization’s mission, vision and goals and execution of policies and procedures. Clearly and persuasively communicate, listen, and seek clarification; participate in meetings, write clearly and informatively. Compensation $18 to 20/hour Position Type / Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position; expected to be 40 hours per week. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
