Description The Infection Prevention Specialist is considered an Infection Prevention Practitioner. An IP Specialist is expected to work autonomously and should not require mentorship in their role. Required qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Lab Sciences, Microbiology or related health science field. Within 1 year of hire: National Certified in Infection Control - Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology (Facility Managed) 2 years Healthcare experience 2 years Epidemiology or Infection Prevention experience Preferred qualifications: Master's Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Lab Sciences, Microbiology or related health science field. 4 years Healthcare experience 4 years Epidemiology or Infection Prevention experience Why Join Providence? The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
