Nesco Resource is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented candidate to join our clients team at their can manufacturing facility in Nichols, NY. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the flow of product is maintained through the process to be inspected and packaged for shipping.

Position : Righter/Sorter

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Rotating shift 2/2/3)

Pay Rate:

• $17.75 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain the palletizer operation in the packaging process, focusing on Safety , Quality , Productivity , and Minimizing Spoilage .
• Operate one or more automated machines/equipment for product production.
• Identify and troubleshoot basic mechanical issues and maintain process equipment.
• Communicate pertinent information between management, co-workers, and between shifts, such as equipment changes or production issues.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED.
• Preferred experience in inspecting/packaging within a high-speed manufacturing environment.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime, as needed.

Physical Requirements:

• Regular activities include sitting, standing, walking, and using hands and arms.
• May need to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds .

Working Conditions:

• Typical work environment is a packaging/warehouse or plant setting.
• Exposure to forklift traffic and loud production noise.
• Light lifting involved.
