Job Title: RN - PCU - Nights

Job Description:

The ratio is 4:1 on PCU patients. Every other weekend and holidays. Shift is 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM. There are no on call requirements, but there is overtime available for anyone who wants it. Cannot guarantee block schedules, but will try to accommodate a preferred schedule. Acuity fluctuates, but we see a wide variety of cardiac and respiratory patients. Manager easy to contact for any needs and is visible to night shift at least twice per week.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs.
• Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates an individual plan of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary health care team.
• Provides explanations and instructions to patient/responsible person.
• Demonstrate ability to use nursing clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient condition.
• Contribute to a healthy workplace environment by managing conflict using professional communication skills.
• Meets Core Measure responsibilities related to patient care.
• Participate in continuing education.
• Maintain complete and accurate medical records.

Requirements:

• Current Illinois Registered Nurse license
• Current CPR/BLS Card
• ACLS
