About the Role We are seeking a Supervisor, bakery to join our team at our Newark, CAbakery . As a Bakery Supervisor, you will provide operational leadership and coordination across shift operations, ensuring consistent execution of production plans, safety standards, quality expectations, and workforce effectiveness. This role serves as the primary on-shift resource for Supervisors, driving operational performance, problem-solving, and continuous improvement initiatives that support overall bakery objectives. Compensation Salary Range: $95,000 – $105,000 Core Accountabilities (What You'll Be Doing) Lead on-shift operations by coordinating activities and supporting Supervisors to achieve production objectives. Promote a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with GMPs, food safety, sanitation, and company policies. Monitor production performance, staffing effectiveness, and operational metrics to drive efficiency and meet targets. Coach Supervisors and teams on standard work, quality expectations, documentation accuracy, and operational best practices. Collaborate with Planning, Maintenance, Quality, Sanitation, HR, and other cross-functional partners to support production requirements. Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities that enhance productivity, quality, cost, and workforce utilization. Ensure accurate operational reporting, ERP data integrity, inventory control, and timely resolution of production issues. Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table) High School Diploma or GED required; post-secondary education in Operations, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field preferred. 5+ years of manufacturing, food production, or operations leadership experience. Demonstrated experience leading teams and supporting front-line supervisors in a fast-paced production environment. Strong knowledge of GMPs, food safety, sanitation, workplace safety, and quality systems. Experience using ERP systems and production reporting tools. Strong problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills. Ability to work in and regularly move throughout a manufacturing environment, including standing, walking, and responding to operational needs across the facility. Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success) Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field. Experience in bakery, food manufacturing, or consumer packaged goods (CPG) environments. Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement training/certification. Experience supporting workforce planning, training, onboarding, and employee development programs.
