About the role: The Quality Control Analyst is responsible for testing raw materials, in-process batches, and finished products to ensure they meet company and regulatory standards. This role performs laboratory analyses, maintains accurate documentation, and follows all GMP, SOP, and safety procedures.

The position will be fully on-site and located at our new Mesa, AZ facility.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Perform laboratory testing on raw materials, bulk, and finished products.
• Follow established methods, SOPs, and GMP requirements.
• Record, analyze, and report test results accurately.
• Maintain and calibrate lab equipment as needed.
• Document all work in lab notebooks, logbooks, and electronic systems.
• Report and help investigate any out-of-specification (OOS) results.
• Support stability studies, sample management, and related lab activities.
• Work closely with QC, QA, and Production teams to resolve quality issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant laboratory environment.
• Perform physical, chemical, and/or microbiological testing using approved analytical methods and instrumentation.
• Prepare reagents, standards, and solutions required for testing procedures.
• Perform routine calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of laboratory instruments (e.g., pH meters, viscometers, spectrophotometers, balances).
• Review and approve test data and documentation for accuracy prior to batch release.
• Participate in method validation, verification, and transfer activities as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related science required.
• 1-3 years of laboratory or QC experience in a GMP-regulated industry preferred.
• Knowledge of laboratory techniques, GMP, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
• Good organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for the majority of the scheduled shift (typically 8-10 hours) while performing testing at laboratory benches and equipment stations, with only standard meal and rest breaks; this is an essential function of the role.
• Ability to frequently lift and carry sample containers, reagents, and laboratory supplies weighing up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to bend, reach, and twist to access lab benches, equipment, storage shelving, and sample refrigerators or freezers at varying heights.
• Manual dexterity and fine motor control sufficient to operate laboratory instruments, pipettes, and glassware, and to perform precise sample preparation and testing.
• Near vision sufficient to read instrument displays, labels, sample identifiers, and test documentation with precision; ability to distinguish colors as needed for certain analytical tests.
• Hearing sufficient to detect equipment alarms and communicate with laboratory and production staff.
• Ability to safely work with and around laboratory chemicals, reagents, and solvents, following proper handling and safety data sheet (SDS) guidelines.
• Ability to tolerate exposure to laboratory chemical odors, varying temperatures, and equipment noise.
• Ability to wear required PPE for the full shift, including safety glasses or goggles, lab coat, gloves, and closed-toe footwear, plus additional PPE (e.g., respirator) as required for specific testing.
• Compliance with all GMP, SOP, and plant safety/OSHA requirements.
