Mechanical Planner III, Nuclear

Job Responsibilities:

• Plan and prepare mechanical work packages for large- and small-scale nuclear projects
• Manage maintenance craft activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and task prioritization
• Conduct pre- and post-job briefings, supervise work in progress, and provide coaching and feedback
• Ensure work is performed in compliance with ALARA, safety, nuclear regulations, and quality standards
• Stage job sites and coordinate resources to ensure timely project completion
• Review work documentation for accuracy and completeness before closing work packages
• Monitor maintenance performance metrics, including work order backlog, schedule effectiveness, productivity, dose exposure, and preventive maintenance
• Provide training to personnel through classroom instruction, on-the-job evaluation, and feedback
• Support emergency response organization as needed and perform collateral duties such as procedure reviews
• Continuously identify and implement improvements to work processes and efficiency
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and cross-functional departments

Skills:

• Strong understanding of nuclear power plant work management and planning processes
• Knowledge of ALARA principles, nuclear safety, and nuclear security regulations

Education/Experience:

• High School
