Job Opportunity

We are seeking dedicated professionals for a night shift position at a state-of-the-art psychiatric facility located in the Scranton Wilkes Barre Metro area of Pennsylvania. The role involves providing care in an acute inpatient hospital setting, focusing on individuals dealing with mental health and behavioral disorders, as well as substance abuse and addiction issues.

Shift Information

• Shift: Nights - 12-hour shift, typically 12 PM to 8 AM
• Schedule: Weekends and holidays as assigned

Facility Overview

This beautiful brand-new facility serves adults through geriatric patients, as well as adolescents. The facility employs restraints and requires candidates to have relevant experience in this area.

Requirements

• Active Pennsylvania license
• 1 year of recent experience in Behavioral Health/Psychiatry

Treatment and Care

The facility focuses on a range of disorders, including:

• Mental Health and Behavioral Disorders
• Substance Abuse and Addictions

Staffing Ratios

The staffing ratios typically range from 1:20, depending on patient acuity.

Documentation and Medication Systems

• Documentation: Epic with paper charting for restraint usage
• Medication System: Omnicell, with an onsite pharmacy available 24/7

Orientation and Training

New staff will undergo a comprehensive orientation lasting 3 to 5 days. Additionally, "Handles With Care" de-escalation training will be provided at no charge during orientation.

• Location: Scranton Wilkes Barre Metro area, near ski resorts and just 40 miles from the New York/New Jersey border
