Tax Manager

Essential Functions Manage, prepare, and review complex individual, corporate, partnership, and pass‑through entity tax returns, including multi‑state filings Provide proactive tax planning, projections, and advisory services aligned with client goals Research complex tax and business issues and present clear, well‑documented findings and recommendations Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, building trusted relationships through responsive, high‑quality service Respond to and resolve federal and state tax notices accurately and efficiently Lead tax engagements from planning through completion, ensuring compliance with firm standards and deadlines Mentor, train, and support the professional development of tax staff Collaborate with partners and internal teams to manage workflow and resource allocation Identify opportunities for additional client services and participate in business development efforts Assist firm partners with leadership, administrative, and operational responsibilities as needed Maintain current knowledge of tax law changes and best practices to support firm‑wide excellence Qualifications Active CPA license (required) Minimum of 5 years of public accounting experience with a primary focus on tax Demonstrated ability to manage multiple engagements in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment Strong leadership, organizational, and time‑management skills with exceptional attention to detail Professional, confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills Ability to work effectively with professionals at all levels, internally and externally Self‑directed, solution‑oriented mindset with a commitment to quality and client service Our Commitment to You While we operate at an elite pace, MBW remains dedicated to the well‑being of our team.
