Purpose of Role Ensure that imported products and parts are delivered in a timely fashion, and in compliance with all applicable U.S. laws and regulations. Key Accountabilities Include Ensure that shipments are released, transported, and delivered in a timely manner Ensure YCA’s compliance with all applicable laws and regulations governing importing products into the U.S. Ensure good credit standing for YCA with service providers thru timely AP invoice processing Primary Responsibilities Include Process shipments, including ISF submissions, and upload/maintain shipment data to the Inbound Visibility tool Maintain commercial documents in accordance with recordkeeping requirements Track shipments and troubleshoot transportation/release/delivery delays Create and maintain shipment tracking reports Process purchase orders, sales orders, shipments, and AP invoices Complete Over Short and Damage Process Core Functional Competencies Customer/Dealer Problem Resolution: Gather information towards appropriate solutions Department Technology and Systems: Understand and can effectively use department technology and systems to perform work International Transportation, Product Compliance & Regulatory: Develop long-term relationships with steamship lines, freight forwarders and drayage companies Trade/Customs Compliance: Ensure import and export of products and materials in a manner compliant with all U.S. laws and regulations (e.g. HTS classification, valuation, country-of-origin determination, free-trade agreements, foreign-trade zone admission, CTPAT) Qualifications Ideal Experience in import/export shipment processing (e.g. working for an importer or a Customs Broker) Knowledge of U.S. laws and regulations governing imports/exports (19CFR) Experience in HTSUS and ECCN classification Experience using GTM software Experience using ERP software Preferred 3+ years experience in import/customs operations Here’s What We’ll Bring Comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Vision, Dental, LTD, Life-Insurance and 401k with match AND automatic contributions Performance based bonus program Robust employee wellness programs including free music lessons Generous Wellness reimbursement program Private concerts from award winning artists Discounted hotel, travel, entertainment, and other attractions Employee product purchase program Vacation, sick-time and personal floating holidays Monthly events, for example -- Bring Your Dog to Work Day, Employee Singing Competitions, Spirit Week and other fun events Inclusive and passionate culture We foster a culture in which everyone feels welcomed, included, and valued; and recognize that diversity contributes to the success of Yamaha Compensation The hiring range for this position is $20.56 - $26.48 per hour + bonus. This is the hiring range and does not include the value of benefits. The hiring range does not reflect total earning potential over time. Final offers within the posted compensation range are based on qualifications, skills and experience required for the role.
