Residential Counselor

Acenda Integrated Health offers a residential counselor position in our Adult Residential Program, supporting individuals with severe mental illness. Job Overview Provide safety, support, and therapeutic services for adult clients, working closely with the residential team to implement individualized rehabilitation goals. Key Responsibilities Screening, brief interventions, and facilitation of treatment referrals and community supports. Coordinate treatment with other therapists, psychiatry, case management, and inter‑agency services. Support case review and school needs assessment processes; provide direct services to students and parents/caregivers per Tier eligibility. Collaborate with Hub Director on mental health workplans and social/emotional learning assessments. Develop and implement therapeutic treatment plans and conduct group and individual counseling sessions. Maintain positive relationships with residents, offering personal care assistance, meal planning, household chores, and daily living support. Implement and monitor individualized treatment plans, fostering physical, emotional, and social well‑being. Facilitate group activities, therapeutic programs, skill development, and community integration. Maintain accurate documentation of residents’ progress, incidents, and significant observations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team: residential supervisor, nurse, director, and medical professionals. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum four years of related mental health experience. Professionalism and commitment to excellence in care. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in mental health, health, or related human services discipline from an accredited institution. Knowledge and experience working with the chronic mentally ill adult population. Compensation and Benefits Hourly Rate: $18.50. Bilingual Rate: Additional $1.50 for proficiency in Spanish.
