Registered Nurse (RN) - Behavioral Health

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) with expertise in Behavioral Health to join our dynamic team. This position offers the opportunity to provide compassionate care to patients within a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Behavioral Health unit.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing appropriate interventions.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to promote patient well-being.
• Document patient care activities and progress using the electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Participate in staff training and development initiatives.

Position Requirements:

• Education: Valid RN license in the state of Texas is required.
• Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Handle with Care training (can be provided on-site).
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in Behavioral Health is required. Some medical RN experience is preferred.
• Patient Population: Experience working with adult and geriatric patient populations is essential.
• Personality Traits: Candidates should be calm, friendly, organized, and professional.

Unit Information:

• Number of Beds: 48
• Patient Ratios: 1:12

Shift Details:

This position requires availability for both day and night shifts, with weekend hours as needed. Please note that orientation is biweekly, on Tuesdays.

Dress Code:

Scrubs in blue (royal or navy) are required. Casual or non-uniform attire is not permitted.
