Registered Nurse - Evening Shift

Location: Holyoke, MA

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Full-time 40 Hours (8-hour shifts) - including every other weekend and holiday.

Job Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) will be an active participant in the health care team, providing direct and indirect care to patients, families, and legal guardians. The RN is responsible for maintaining a safe therapeutic milieu while working collaboratively as a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team. This role includes contributing to each patient's individual treatment plan by helping to develop, implement, and document appropriate goals and interventions, informed by patient strengths and presenting psychiatric problems.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients.
• Maintain a safe therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
• Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary treatment team.
• Assist in the development and implementation of individual treatment plans.
• Document patient care and interventions in the electronic medical record.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Current RN license in the State of Massachusetts; BSN preferred.
• One year of adult and adolescent inpatient psychiatric experience required.
• CPR certification required.
• Experience in restraint reduction and crisis intervention preferred.
