Job Summary

Senior IT Project Manager leads, oversees and ensures the successful delivery and management of single or multiple projects which could be stand-alone or part of an overall program. They are accountable for delivery within scope, quality, time and cost constraints that may be clearly defined or may require dynamic change management to deliver business value. These projects tend to be larger in terms of scope, cost and impact than those led by more junior project managers.

This role will also manage core project team, extended project team, stakeholder and sponsor relationships, manage project financials and provide transparency to the overall project health as well as manage risks and issues. This role will work collaboratively with and maintain strong partnerships with global business/functional leaders.

This position directly reports to the Data Security IT Program Manager within the IT Enterprise PMO, and directly supports the Information Security Office and cybersecurity initiatives. Experience in managing Information Security, IT Infrastructure, and/or IT programs and projects is preferred.

Major Job Responsibilities

* Provide leadership and direction to project team members throughout the project life cycle, ensuring deliverables are met per cost, schedule and scope commitments, proactively handling escalations as necessary to ensure project goals are accomplished and are in line with business objectives.

* Proactively assess risks and issues, providing leadership to determine appropriate mitigation plans, escalating as necessary and then executing and following up on these

* Provide regular status reports in various formats and forums to a variety of stakeholders - ensuring full transparency of project status and health.

* Analyze project proposals to determine time frame, funding limitations and appropriate process for accomplishing projects. This includes identifying and scheduling project deliverables, milestones, and required activities and tasks.

* Continuously benchmark project management performance to identify improvements and achieve higher capability maturity in project and portfolio management.

* Implement and ensure adherence to ePMO standard methodologies, processes and tools, develop and maintain project documentation, work plans and project deliverables. Guide and train others in the use of the methodology and tools as applicable.

* Demonstrated problem solving skills; examine issues and effectively determine appropriate means of addressing them. Must also be able to envision different possible scenarios that could introduce risk and proactively plan to mitigate. Must be able to be creative in finding ways to resolve conflicts and overcome obstacles throughout the life of the project.

Required Skills and Experience

* 5-8 Years of Project Management experience in a large multi-unit organization required. Experience in managing Information Security (IS), IT Infrastructure, and/or IT programs and projects is preferred.

* 3-5 years supervisory experience overseeing large scale projects, global teams, project managers, application leads.

* Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills

* Ability to build formal and informal relationships and networks within and across organizational boundaries

* Ability to lead and motivate others; demonstrating empathy and knowledge of personality types

* Distinctive blend of business, IT, financial and communication skills, because this is a highly visible position with substantial impact

* Effective influencing and negotiating skills in an environment where this role may not directly control resources

* Familiar with project management methodologies (e.g., PMI, PRINCE2, Agile)

* Cultural adaptability. Virtual and remote team management ability.

* Experience in a complex IT and business environments, including ability to coordinate multiple teams in various locations and time zones. Deep project management experience managing large-scale, global implementations.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate technical projects and make them executive and business consumable as well as effectively communicate business and not technical requirements with technical leadership

* Influencing and negotiation experience and skills in an environment with high competition for resources.

Desired Skills and Experience

* 5+ years of experience in managing IT Infrastructure, Information Security (IS), and/or IT programs and projects

* Project Management certification (e.g., PMP) is desired but not required.

* Advanced degree is a plus
