Big Minds, Tiny Hands is looking for caring, motivated Social Workers to provide home-based Early Intervention (EI) services to children from birth to age 3 with developmental delays, and to support their families.

You'll work with children and families in their homes and communities. The focus is on developmental growth and helping caregivers feel confident. You set your own schedule, and cases are matched to the boroughs and hours you choose.  New to Early Intervention? We'll train you.

What You'll Do

Direct Services

• Provide home-based Social Work and/or Special Instruction services based on each child's IFSP goals
• Support social-emotional development, behavior, and daily functioning
• Use play-based, routine-based, family-centered strategies
• Coach caregivers to build their child's skills during everyday routines

Assessment & Documentation

• Take part in evaluations and assessments as needed
• Complete daily session notes that meet NYS EI requirements
• Submit progress reports on time
• Track progress and adjust interventions as needed

Family Support

• Guide families on behavior, routines, and development
• Keep in regular contact with caregivers
• Help families find resources and use strategies at home

Coordination & Compliance

• Work with service coordinators and multidisciplinary team members
• Follow all NYS Early Intervention Program regulations
• Submit documentation and billing forms on time

What You Bring

Required

• Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) or related field
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• A passion for working with young children and families

Preferred

• Active NYS LMSW or LCSW license
• Early Intervention or pediatric experience
• Special Instruction experience
• Bilingual (Spanish or another language)
