Key Responsibilities

Perform basic patient care tasks with attention to detail and empathy. Observe and communicate any abnormal occurrences or changes in patient status promptly. Maintain cleanliness and organization of supplies within the unit. Carry out additional duties as assigned by the healthcare team.

Skills and Abilities

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential. Ability to read and understand English instructions. Willingness to accept guidance from a multidisciplinary team and adapt to varying work schedules. Quick learner with basic computer proficiency. Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, lift, and assist patients safely. Visual and auditory acuity necessary for patient observation. Awareness of infection control practices due to potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids.

Education and Certifications

Must hold a current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification registered with the appropriate state registry. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.

Experience

Prior experience in a healthcare setting is beneficial but not mandatory. Candidates should demonstrate a flexible approach to work and a commitment to patient-centered care.
