Details Level III trauma center ED with 34 beds seeing 200-250 patients per day Patient population spans neonate to geriatric, including pediatric medical and trauma cases Treats stroke (TNK administration), cardiac (cath lab), behavioral health, and substance use disorder patients Handles transfer-out stabilization for neurosurgery, multi-system trauma, and high acuity pediatric patients ED is organized into zones including a 13-bed fast track ("green zone") Patient ratios of 1:3-5 based on acuity Epic EMR required 12-hour mid shifts (10a-10p, 11a-11p, 12p-12a, 1p-1a, or 2p-2a) 36 hours per week Weekend rotation every other weekend, with occasional back-to-back weekends No floating required No on-call requirements Requirements Active WA or compact RN license required Minimum 2 years of experience in a large volume, high acuity ED required Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS or ENPC, and TNCC Must pass facility's Triage Test before performing triage duties Skilled in barcode scanning medication administration, medication drips, and blood product administration Able to set up chest tubes and arterial lines, and assist with trauma and code cases Experience with splinting and BiPAP/ventilator management required Strong understanding of ESI triage required Pediatric emergency medicine experience highly preferred Point of Care Labs experience a plus Additional Information Works in one of the busiest EDs in the state Scrubs may be any color with no logos First-time travelers are welcome to apply American Traveler Job ID P-772189.
