Job Summary MUSC Community Physicians (MCP) is an entity within the Medical University of South Carolina that provides healthcare to patients within the rural health network throughout the state of South Carolina. This position provides direct line management and leadership for all patient care areas, ensures proper standards are followed for nursing practice, and serves as the interface between support and clinical services. Responsibilities Provide direct line management and leadership for all patient care areas. Ensure proper standards are followed for nursing practice. Interface between support services and clinical services. Facilitate care delivery system development and operation, including but not limited to staffing and professional delivery of services. Manage daily operations of clinical and clerical employees, including staffing schedules and maintaining a professional work atmosphere. Develop and set goals at the process, job, and interface level to ensure optimal patient care and meet organizational goals. Minimum Education and Experience High school diploma and three years experience or training within specific work area, OR Associate’s degree with one year of experience, OR Bachelor’s degree and six months to one year experience (experience in a medical capacity preferred). Ability to exert up to 50 lbs. of force. Ability to maintain 20/40 vision, corrected, in one eye or with both eyes. Ability to see and recognize objects close at hand or at a distance. Ability to match or discriminate between colors. Ability to determine distance/relationship between objects; depth perception. Ability to maintain hearing acuity, with correction. Ability to perform gross motor functions with frequent fine motor movements. Ability to deal effectively with stressful situations. Ability to work rotating shifts. Ability to work overtime as required. Ability to work in a latex safe environment. Ability to maintain tactile sensory functions. Ability to maintain good olfactory sensory function.
