Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel contract, requiring a minimum of 2 years of OR experience and a Louisiana or Compact RN license.

Details

• Position is in a hospital Operating Room setting with 7 rooms and a caseload of 10–25 cases per day
• Day shift schedule: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
• Two weekends required per 6-week schedule
• Call required on weekdays, weekends, and holidays
• Green scrubs are provided by the facility

Requirements

• Active Louisiana or Compact RN license required
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association)
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
• CVOR experience preferred but not required

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply, provided they have sufficient OR experience
• Candidates must reside 65+ miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed and discussed during the interview process
• Upon assignment, travelers may be assigned to an emergency response team by their unit manager, requiring them to remain on-site or serve as part of a relief team during emergency events — candidates uncomfortable with this expectation should not apply
