Job Title: Assistant Project Manager Job Description

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial, institutional, retail, and public-sector construction projects throughout Westchester County and the surrounding region. This role is primarily office-based, working closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and suppliers from project award through closeout.

• Support Project Managers in the day-to-day administration of multiple construction projects.
• Prepare and track submittals, RFIs, change orders, meeting minutes, and project documentation.
• Coordinate material procurement, vendor quotes, purchase orders, and delivery schedules.
• Assist with project estimating, quantity takeoffs, and bid preparation.
• Review construction documents, specifications, and drawings for project coordination.
• Track project budgets, commitments, subcontractor documentation, and project costs.
• Maintain accurate project records and ensure documentation is current and organized.
• Update project logs and reporting through Procore and other project management software.
• Assist with project closeout documentation, punch lists, and turnover packages.
• Perform occasional site visits to support project teams and verify project progress.

• 2+ years of experience in a Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, Project Coordinator, or similar construction management role.
• Experience with submittals, RFIs, change orders, procurement, and project documentation.
• Working knowledge of construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
• Experience with Procore and Bluebeam.

• Estimating experience using PlanSwift and Excel.
• AutoCAD experience, including preparation of as-built drawings and existing conditions documentation.
• Experience supporting commercial, municipal, educational, or site development projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.

The work environment is primarily office-based at the company's headquarters, with occasional site visits. The role offers a collaborative and fast-paced construction environment, and the ideal candidate will be a proactive team player eager to grow into a Project Management leadership role.

This is a Permanent position based out of Mount Vernon, NY.

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $110000.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a Permanent position based out of Mount Vernon, NY.

This position is anticipated to close on Nov 10, 2026.
