Technical Designer

Bridging the gap between creative vision and technical implementation, the remote Technical Designer will focus on Unreal Engine 4 projects, refactoring Blueprint assets, building UI tooling, and debugging large-scale game systems while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. Key responsibilities Refactor prototype Blueprint assets into scalable, reusable systemic actors, utilizing C++ in Unreal Engine 4 as needed Build UI tooling and developer interfaces to surface debug information and diagnostics Implement gameplay mechanics and reward systems while partnering with narrative teams to integrate quest lines Required qualifications Deep expertise with Unreal Engine 4 and strong understanding of gameplay, systems, and level design Strong FPS design experience with a proven track record of enhancing gameplay flow and player engagement Experience leading design teams on Unreal Engine projects Excellent stakeholder management and mentoring skills Ability to balance creative vision against production realities
