Contract (26 Weeks) | Nights | 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM | 12-Hour Shifts | Expected 72 hours per pay period (0.9 FTE) | Weekend and holiday availability required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult patients (18+) meeting observation status criteria, including chest pain, asthma exacerbation, TIA, abdominal pain, urinary issues, blood sugar management, DVT/PE, cellulitis, post-procedural monitoring, and minor trauma
• Monitor patients using cardiac monitoring equipment and apply telemetry/ECG competency in a 10-bed observation unit with an approximate 1:5 patient ratio
• Document and manage patient care using the Cerner electronic health record system
• Float as needed to Medical, Cardiac, and Neuro-Ortho units within the facility
• Maintain compliance with attendance requirements; all absences must be made up to maintain contracted hours
• Adhere to professional conduct standards throughout the duration of the assignment

• Active RN license
• BSN preferred
• Minimum 1 year of medical/surgical nursing experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale Competency, Telemetry/ECG Competency
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates

• Telemetry experience strongly preferred
• TNCC or ENPC certification (optional but valued)
• Familiarity with Cerner EHR
• Experience in observation or medical/cardiac nursing settings
