Travel Operating Room RN - $2,640 per week

TNAA TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a 13‑week assignment in Saint Paul, Minnesota. This position involves 40 hours per week with 8‑hour rotating shifts. Job Overview The successful candidate will assist physicians and medical staff in caring for surgical patients, provide pre‑ and post‑surgery care and education, and support the operating team throughout the procedure. Responsibilities Assist physicians and medical staff in caring for surgical patients Provide pre‑ and post‑surgery care and education to the patient Conduct basic bedside care and medication management Serve as communication liaison between patients’ families and the operating team Ensure the correct procedure is performed on the correct patient Initiate patient education plans as prescribed by the physician Monitor patient during surgery and respond to complications alongside the physician Additional Duties by Nursing Role Circulating OR Nurse – respond to patient comfort and safety needs, manage specimens accurately, monitor equipment, inventory surgical items pre‑ and post‑procedure Scrub OR Nurse – select and handle surgical instruments and supplies during procedures, inventory surgical items pre‑ and post‑procedure RN First Assistant – assist physicians in delivering direct surgical care, control bleeding, suture patients following surgery Qualifications 1–2 years recent acute‑care experience as a circulating nurse, scrub nurse, or RN first assistant BLS certification; additional certifications may be required before assignment Ability to stand and walk for long periods; lift up to 20 pounds comfortably and up to 50 pounds when necessary Physical endurance and flexibility to perform duties in the operating room environment Requirements Current BLS certification Minimum 1 year of nursing experience Benefits Weekly pay Guaranteed hours Continuing education opportunities 401(k) retirement plan Sick pay Wellness and fitness programs Referral bonus Employee assistance programs Medical, dental, and vision benefits Benefits start at day 1 of assignment TotalMed Travel Job ID #1429075.
