Fund Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Fund Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $85,000 to $120,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain detailed financial records for multiple investment funds and affiliated entities.
• Prepare periodic financial reports in alignment with accounting standards and fund-specific guidelines.
• Process and document fund transactions including capital movements, fees, and profit allocations.
• Reconcile financial data across cash accounts, investments, and partner balances.
• Contribute to investor communications by generating account summaries and performance insights.

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
• At least 2+ years of experience in fund accounting or within a public accounting firm.
• Familiarity with private equity or alternative investment structures is highly desirable.
• Strong working knowledge of partnership accounting principles and fund operations.
• Proficient in Excel and experienced with fund accounting platforms such as Investran or eFront.

• CPA certification or active progress toward obtaining it is preferred.
• Experience with calculating performance-based fees and waterfall distributions.
• Understanding of fund administration workflows and investor relations practices.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset for cross-functional teamwork.
