About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its leadership team and play a pivotal role in the organization's financial management and strategic decision-making. The CFO will be responsible for overseeing the financial health of the company, improving financial visibility, managing risk, and strengthening financial processes. This hands-on leadership position requires a professional with a deep understanding of construction accounting, including job costing, WIP, and percentage-of-completion reporting. The successful candidate will lead all accounting and financial reporting functions, work closely with project managers to enhance project financial performance, and provide the necessary financial insight for sound business decisions. Key responsibilities for the CFO at the company include leading the annual budgeting process, financial forecasting, and cash flow management, as well as monitoring working capital and overall liquidity. The role also involves maintaining external financial relationships, leading and developing the accounting team, and integrating financial and construction technology systems. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years' of progressive financial leadership experience in the construction industry, a strong knowledge of construction accounting practices, and a proven track record in financial analysis and strategic financial management. A hands-on, collaborative approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-financial leaders are essential for this position. A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred, and experience with financial management and project management systems used in the commercial construction industry is a significant advantage.
