Neurosurgeon Physician

We are seeking a Board-Certified orBoard-Eligible Neurosurgeon to join an establishedneurosurgical program in Rapid City, South Dakota. This position is exclusively focusedon acute care neurosurgery and trauma , with no electiveprocedures. The physician will provide comprehensive care for patients withtraumatic neurosurgical injuries in an ACS-verified Level II Trauma Center andwork in a high-acuity environment requiring rapid response and expert clinicaldecision-making.

The program offers strong APP support,excellent trauma and ICU services, and a fully staffed follow-up clinic to support continuity of care.

ClinicalResponsibilities

• Provide acutecare neurosurgical services for trauma patients, including evaluation,diagnosis, surgical intervention, and postoperative management
• Manage traumaticneurosurgical injuries in emergency and inpatient settings
• Collaborate withTrauma, Critical Care, Emergency Medicine, and other multidisciplinaryteams
• Provide timely,evidence-based care for high-acuity patients
• Participate infollow-up clinics to ensure continuity of care for trauma patients
• Supervise andcollaborate with APPs to enhance patient care delivery
• Develop andadhere to standardized clinical protocols
• Participate inquality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Board Certifiedor Board Eligible in Neurosurgery
• Fellowshiptraining in trauma or demonstrated trauma experience required
• Unrestricted South Dakotamedical license
• ATLScertification preferred
• Proven abilityto work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Strongcommunication, collaboration, and leadership skills
