Description Advant Job Description Last Reviewed: Wednesday, May 15, 2024 Title: Shipping Coordinator Department: Operations - Millwork Pay Status: Non - exempt Reports To: Operations Manager JOB SUMMARY This position requires an experienced individual who can effectively perform the daily operations of the warehouse. This would include but is not limited to ensuring the timely and efficiently delivery of products, processing paperwork, picking, packing, manifesting shipments, staging, driving power equipment, and organizing materials in the warehouse. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Regularly lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds. Occasionally team lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds. Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel and crouch. Frequently required to push/pull a ladder, ascend and/or descend ladder while holding packages. Occasionally required to sit, climb and balance. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus. JOB FUNCTIONS Provide assistance to UPS, FedEx, contractors, installers, and Project Managers. Communicate updates or changes to carriers, contractors, installers, and Project Managers effectively. Prepare shipping manifests and Pick, check, and package customer orders. Work with the Operations Manager to configure product layout. Actively initiates problem solving issues when needed. Plan and schedule shipments based on customer orders and jobsite needs. Identify opportunities for process improvements within the shipping department. Resolve all shipping related issues, including lost or damaged shipments and provide solutions to ensure customer satisfaction. Provide computer, product training, and technical product knowledge and support as needed. Is responsible for the Supply Chain financial impact to the company by enhancing productivity, decreasing costs, and improving profitability of the warehouse. Requirements JOB REQUIREMENTS Communicate any damaged or incorrect items with the Purchasing Manager. Review Shipping Schedule daily and confirm with Project Managers that the customer has confirmed their shipment date / time. Coordinate with Project Manager to get all required shipping paperwork the day prior to shipment. Pull and stage all materials the day prior to shipments using Pick Tickets. Coordinate any out of state deliveries using common carrier and report any fluctuations in pricing increases to Inside Sales / Outside Sales. When possible, load trucks the day prior to shipment. Note any discrepancies on shipping paperwork VS what is built / staged or in stock and communicate with PM’s Production Manager or Purchasing for resolutions. When needed, help production with assembling door units or prep work to ensure readiness and timeliness of delivers. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate and collaborate with all levels of the organization. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Must adhere to all safety and housekeeping policies and guidelines Must have valid driver’s license. Perform cycle count analysis or other inventory reporting functions. All other duties as assigned EDUCATION Minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Previous shipping experience preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
