Clinical Psychologist – Veteran Disability Assessments

We are looking for a committed Clinical Psychologist to become a part of our team, focusing on conducting medical evaluations for U.S. Veterans as part of the disability benefits process managed by the VA. In this role, you will assess behavioral health records through a secure online portal and carry out thorough in-person evaluations for each Veteran.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person disability evaluations for U.S. Veterans.
• Review and interpret electronic medical records via a secure web portal.
• Document examination results accurately and complete necessary VA forms.

It is important to note that disability decisions are made by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and not by the assessing provider.

Schedule and Caseload

• Part-Time Position: 1-2 Days per Week (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM).
• Average Caseload: 4 Veterans per day.
• Equipment Provided: Computer and all essential documentation tools.

Qualifications and Skills

• A compassionate Psychologist with a strong commitment to the Veteran community.
• Excellent analytical abilities for reviewing medical records and assessment data.
• Skilled in electronic documentation and navigating web-based portals.
• Professional and empathetic approach when engaging with Veterans.

Requirements

• Doctoral degree from an APA-accredited program.
• Possession of an active and unrestricted Psychology license.
• Training and ongoing support will be provided.
