Maintenance Technician II

The Maintenance Technician II for Alloy Surfaces Company (ASC) is responsible for performing preventive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment, facility systems, and infrastructure. This role troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electro-mechanical systems, performs equipment installations, adjustments, and modifications, and supports safe, reliable, and efficient manufacturing operations for ASC. The Maintenance Technician II works independently on routine and moderately complex maintenance activities and participate in continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Receive and complete work orders through the Maintenance Management System (CMMS), identifying equipment issues and obtaining the parts and materials needed to perform repairs 2. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, facility systems, tooling, and infrastructure as assigned 3. Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electro-mechanical, and basic plumbing systems and equipment 4. Respond to emergency and unscheduled equipment repair needs to minimize production downtime 5. Install, fabricate, modify, repair and maintain production equipment, tooling, facility systems, and related mechanical and electrical components, including routine equipment modifications and upgrades 6. Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to perform maintenance and repair activities 7. Inspect, test, adjust, and replace components to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently 8. Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and equipment history within the CMMS 9. Inspect and maintain facility safety systems, including fire alarms, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, and other life safety equipment, ensuring inspections remain current 10. Maintain maintenance tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition and ensure tools are stored securely and appropriately 11. Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal departments as needed, including escorting visitors in accordance with facility security procedures 12. Support facility Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) programs and comply with OSHA, company, and regulatory safety requirements 13. Participate in Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and equipment reliability initiatives as assigned 14. Provide assistance and technical support to other Maintenance Technicians as needed 15. Perform special projects and other duties as assigned OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS 1. N/A EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION 1. High school diploma 2. Associate degree or technical school training preferred 3. Trade school or apprenticeship certification preferred EXPERIENCE 1. Minimum of four years of progressive maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment 2. Experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial or manufacturing equipment 3. Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electro-mechanical systems 4. Experience working in a Lean Manufacturing environment and participating in process improvement initi tives preferred 5. Experience working in an ISO 9001 / AS9100 environment preferred 6. Experience with Lockout/Tagout and Arc Flash compliance procedures 7. Experience performing HVAC maintenance, including belt and filter replacement preferred 8. Experience with electrical troubleshooting and repair 9. Experience operating Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) preferred ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Must be eligible to obtain and/or maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance commensurate with the level of facility clearance Must have and maintain a valid driver's license Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Able to perform duties in various physical environments and conditions (e.g., indoors, outdoors, hot/cold areas, heights, confined spaces) Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and equipment manuals Ability to safely operate machinery (forklifts, lifts, etc.) Knowledge of OSHA regulations, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Arc Flash, and general industrial safety practices Ability to work overtime, weekends, or respond to emergency maintenance situations, as required []{.ql-ui}
