Associate Child Care Teacher

Location Bright Horizons Assistant Teacher – full‑time positions with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers at three Detroit, MI locations: Detroit Diesel (UAW) Child Development Center: 13440 Outer Drive West, Detroit, MI 48239 One Campus Martius: One Campus Martius, Detroit, MI 48226 Midtown Detroit: 1110 Seward Avenue, Detroit, MI 48292 Responsibilities Assist with hands‑on activities to meet the needs and interests of children. Maintain open communication with parents, sharing their child's daily milestones. Keep the classroom safe and clean by following procedures and guidelines. Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older and possess a high school diploma or GED. 1 year of experience in child care, daycare, or preschool settings preferred. CDA, associate’s, or bachelor’s degree in early education or a related field preferred. Must pass required state and company background checks and meet minimum education and experience requirements. Physical Requirements Comply with all federal, state, and company immunization, screening, and health and safety requirements. Frequently lift, carry, or hold children weighing 10–40 pounds; occasionally more than 40 pounds. Demonstrate full range of motion to lift, reach, squat, climb, sit, and otherwise participate in activities. Respond immediately and appropriately to emergencies. Maintain mental and physical alertness and an appropriate level of energy. Compensation Hourly rate: $14.65–$18.20, depending on experience, education, and other factors.
