Job ID: BROADBEAN_544801790593033Location: Galway, DublinContract: ContractIndustry: AccountancyRecruiter: Suzanne McCraeE-Mail: View email address on click.appcast.io Finance Manager /Director9 monthsDublinOne of our large Energy companies is currently looking for an experienced Senior Finance Manager /DirectorGeneral: Develop strong relationships with senior stake holders and their Direct reports;Ability to work and communicate well in matrix organisation (predominantly UKCO and UKH);Understand each areas 5 year business strategy and its translation into financial impacts and support the effective communication across finance and back to the business of these;Have the business and finance knowledge to efficiently facilitate interchange and relationships between the business and FP&A;Develop deep understanding of key drivers of revenue and costs, cash flow, and risks and opportunities and be conversant with the translation of commercial issues into financial impacts;Support the Director, Finance Director or Finance Partner by providing robust, thoughtful and highly analytical finance and strategic support to the businesses to drive improvements in financial performance.Plan & Monitor the BusinessRegularly review performance against Group Annual Plan & latest forecast, working with the business and with FP&A to analyse financial and operational (value driver) variances and recommend corrective action.Provide Decision SupportDraw on FP&A forecasts and reports, FC actual and judgements, external data and experience to articulate the relationship between drivers, interventions and strategy on the one hand and on financial and operational metrics on the other;Action against standard analysis, insight and challenge from FP&A to support and influence decisions, empowering the business to self-serve appropriate data to inform decisions independently;Carry out non-standard / bespoke analysis and modelling to support business decision making;Support the business through finance element of UK Change governance process;Identify performance improvement interventions and design means of implementing associated changes. Facilitate relevant parts of the business to implement changes;Support the Director, Finance Director or Finance Partner in reviewing investments and develop means of articulating value of investment, facilitating and leading relevant parts of the business to deliver business cases;Attend monthly MBR and Steering Committees for relevant area and actively participate in meeting sand ensure business.The Person:Key competencies required to carry out the role competently and effectively include:Ability to pro-actively develop positive and highly effective working relationships, influencing management on delivery and relevant strategy;Strategic thinking - able to step away from the detail and combine data with external trends and market data to see the bigger picture;Critical thinking and analytical skills to provide check and challenge to the business in their decision making in an effective and constructive manner;A demonstrated ability in commercial analysis and evaluation, with strong commercial acumen to support delivery of business goals;Strong ability to summarise complex matters and communicate effectively to influence a range of audiences;Capable of managing multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment and engage resource across the business and finance to deliver work to tight deadlines;Ability to identify, assess and analyse organisation wide operational risks and controls.
