Shift: 12H Nights (1845-0715), alternating 36/48 hours per week
Hours/Week: 36-48 hours
Employment Type: Contract
Licenses/Certifications: LA State License, BLS, RPSGT or RRT-SDS
Experience: Minimum 1 year preferred; travel experience required

What You'll Do

Conduct sleep studies and assist with patient setup, including fitting PAP masks
Monitor and troubleshoot sleep testing equipment and electrodes
Follow sleep procedures to establish baseline sleep data
Educate and answer patient questions about sleep testing
Support a diverse patient population, including pediatrics to geriatrics
Assist with patient safety and comfort during sleep studies
Work independently or with minimal supervision depending on census

What You Need

Required:

LA State License
BLS certification
RPSGT or RRT-SDS credential
1+ years of experience in sleep studies
Comfortable working with both pediatric and adult patients
Technically savvy with sleep monitors and troubleshooting

Preferred:

Prior travel sleep tech experience
Knowledge of EMR systems and sleep equipment

About the Assignment Join a top sleep center operating across two units, Pierremont and Bossier, each with 4 beds. You will play a vital role in sleep diagnostics, working with patients across outpatient settingsincluding those with sleep disorders such as sleep apnea, narcolepsy, and parasomnias. The position offers the flexibility of working independently and is ideal for experienced sleep technologists seeking a rewarding contract role.
