Job Title

Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in labor and delivery, including vaginal deliveries and C-sections
• Perform fetal heart monitoring and high-risk pregnancy monitoring in labor and antepartum settings
• Manage patients across antepartum, labor/high-risk, and triage areas
• Float to postpartum as needed to support unit staffing, including couplet care (maternal and newborn)
• Participate in newborn care at delivery when applicable
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered California RN license (must be in hand at time of submission; no pending licenses accepted)
• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience; first-time travelers not accepted
• AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification or NCC EFM certification
• ACLS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• LA Fire Card obtained within the last 30 days

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with postpartum couplet care (maternal and newborn)
• Ability to perform newborn role at delivery
• Familiarity with Epic charting system
